DNS propagation checker

After a DNS change the new value first stands in your zone — only then in the caches of the world. This tool asks the same question from your browser to Google (8.8.8.8), Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and Quad9 (9.9.9.9), and shows per resolver whether it already gives the new answer, still the old one, or nothing at all yet.

Fill in what should be there and the checker colours each resolver: new or other. Leave the field empty and it compares the three answers against each other. The TTL behind each answer says how long a resolver may hold it — the clock behind propagation is the TTL, not the resolver’s will.

The question leaves your browser, straight to the three resolvers: we do not see your domain name, they do. A resolver that does not answer stays unknown — "did not answer" is never "does not exist".

After a DNS change: ask the same record at Google, Cloudflare and Quad9 and see per resolver whether the new value is already there, where the old answer still stands and which TTL covers it.
